Drug: GHB
Aka: liquid ecstasy, GBH, gammahydroxybutrate
What is it?
GHB is a liquid that does not smell of anything and comes
in small bottles or capsules. It tastes slightly salty and
is swallowed. Usually about a teaspoon or a capful is taken,
but it varies in strength, so it is difficult to judge how
much you are taking.

What are the effects?
- The effects start between 10 minutes to an hour after taking it
and can last up to a whole day.
- It has a euphoric effect that makes you feel happy, sexy and
uninhibited.
- As more is taken, it acts like a sedative and can make you feel
sleepy.
- It can make you feel disorientated and sick.
- Muscles can go dumb or spasm.
- You can fit or have a seizure if used excessively.
What are the risks?
- It can be fatal if taken with alcohol or other drugs.
- You can lose consciousness.
- Because it can knock you out, it has been linked to date
rape. You cant smell it, and when put into a drink you cant
taste it, so it can be easily slipped into a drink.
- Too much can cause sickness, stiff muscles, fits and collapse.
